WHERE TO PARK

BASI Pilates Marina del Rey members have access to 5 exclusive parking spaces close to the studio. Click the image for a larger view.

CANCELLATION POLICY

No worries if you need to cancel! You can cancel your class reservation at no cost up to 12 hours before the class begins, and your class credit will be returned to you. However, cancellations made after this period will result in the following charges: For class pack users, one class will be deducted from your remaining classes if you late cancel (or do not show up). If you have a monthly membership and late cancel, a $25 fee will be applied. Failing to show up for class without a late cancellation will incur a charge equal to the cost of a single class ($44).

For private sessions, we enforce a 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancelling a private session within this 24-hour period, or not showing up, will result in a charge for that session.

Please note that you cannot switch classes within the 12-hour cancellation window. All sales are final, and classes are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable.

To cancel a reservation, please log into the PushPress Members App, navigate to Schedule, select Reservations, choose a reservation, and click Cancel Reservation. If you encounter any issues or have questions, please email us at info@basipilatesmarina.com or call the studio directly: (213) 894-9601

ADVANCE REGISTRATION FOR CLASSES

We highly recommend signing up and paying for classes in advance. However, if you decide last minute, you can call or walk in to check if a free reformer is available!

HOW TO BOOK A CLASS IN ADVANCE?

To reserve a class, you can book online via class schedule page or through our mobile apps (if you are already a member). Simply click on “Schedule”, “Classes” then find a class you would to book. Our apps are available for download in the iPhone App Store and Google Play; just search for "PushPress Members". Alternatively, you can call the studio and make a reservation through our front desk manager.

WHAT IF I'M LATE TO CLASS?

If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to a full class, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist. However, we understand that LA traffic can be unpredictable, so if you know you're going to be late, please call us to inform us and we will hold your spot. We can keep your reformer reserved for up to the first 10 minutes of class. If you arrive later than 10 minutes, you will not be permitted to join the class as it disrupts the session and is unsafe after the warm-up period. Please note, there are no exceptions to this policy.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY PILATES CLASS?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing similar to what you might wear to a yoga class. Opt for form-fitting pants and tops to prevent your clothes from obscuring the instructor’s view of your movements, ensuring they can see your form clearly, especially your core muscles. Shoes are not worn during workouts; instead, grip socks are required for safety and hygiene. If you don't have grip socks, they are available for purchase at our studio.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY PILATES CLASS?

We suggest you wear comfortable clothing to move in, along the same lines as a yoga class. We prefer that you wear tighter fitting pants or tops so your clothes don’t hang or move in a manner that obstructs the instructor’s view of your form (you want the instructor to see what your abs are doing!). You will not be wearing shoes during your workout; instead, we require socks with grip for safety and sanitary reasons. If you do not have socks with grip, we sell them in the studio.

CAN I ATTEND CLASS IF I’M PREGNANT?

Before participating in this or any exercise program while pregnant, please obtain approval from your doctor. Once you have clearance, you are welcome to join us! Make sure to inform the instructors that you are pregnant prior to the start of class so that we can offer suitable modifications and adjustments to your workout. Additionally, we strongly recommend booking private sessions with one of our instructors. This allows for personalized attention and tailored guidance to safely maintain your fitness throughout your pregnancy.

WHAT IS THE CELL PHONE POLICY?

Cell phones are not allowed during class. If you need to handle an emergency, please step out of the class to address it. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a respectful environment for both your classmates and teacher!

AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR GROUP CLASSES

Yes, there is an age restriction for group classes; participants must be at least 17 years old. This is because the spine may not be fully developed until the age of 17, and we aim to protect young bodies during these crucial growth years. Sixteen-year-olds may join classes if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who must remain present throughout the class (either participating or sitting on the bench) and sign a waiver. However, we do welcome teenagers of any age for private sessions. These one-on-one lessons allow the instructor to ensure that the exercises are perfectly suited to the teen's needs and that their spine and body are correctly aligned. A parent or guardian must sign a liability waiver for these private sessions, though their presence is not required during the session itself.

CAN I TRANSFER MY CLASSES TO FRIENDS?

Classes included in your class packs and unlimited packages cannot be transferred to others.
